I’m so excited to share this first episode of Let’s Talk Shop with you and I hope you will enjoy listening. In this small business podcast series I will be chatting to guests from different parts of the home and gift industry, buyers, shop keepers, brand owners and industry experts all to hopefully start a conversation and inspire others to just go for it and to do my little bit in bridging that gap between buyer and seller.
Wholesale is a great way to scale your business and there are so many exciting new products launching all the time that I know I would love to see more readily available on our high-streets.
I am so passionate about this industry and have loved recording and chatting with some great business owners and I’m so excited to share my first three episodes with you.
In this episode, I’m chatting to the lovely Antonia Sanchez-Toomey from Tinker Tailor, a beautiful lifestyle boutique in North London. Antonia has a great eye for curating interesting products across a wide range of products. In this episode we chat about:
- Community and how to get people through the doors and into your shop.
- How to build a strong and long-lasting relationship with retail buyers.
- The importance of good communication and how a phone call can save a lot of time.
- What you can do to get seen and heard by a retail buyer.
- How Antonia finds new products for her shop.
- Instagram and making a real-life connection.
- Selling and buying.
